Comfort Management Pte Ltd is one of the leading M & E Building Services Company in Singapore. As part of our expansion drive, we plan to establish an Engineering Resource Center (ERC) in Chennai, India. The primary function of ERC is to provide engineering backup support to field operations in Singapore, Thailand and China. Reporting to the Singapore Office, the ERC will be lead by the Head of ERC, assisted by an Assistant Head and supported by a team of mechanical and electrical engineers.

The scope of engineering resource activities includes:

a) Review of Service Chits and Check Lists generated by the Service & Maintenance Team in Singapore

b) Review of Chiller Log readings. Advise on abnormalities and issue instructions for further checks and evaluation or rectification works;

c) Analysis of data obtained from energy audit including extraction of data from data loggers;

d) Recommendations including equipment selection, system calculations and re-engineering;

e) Report writing on energy audit and opportunities;

f) Autocad drawings of M & E Services

We are looking for suitable candidates for the following vacancies.

HEAD / ASSISTANT HEAD OF ERC
Duties & Responsibilities:
1.Lead the ERC supported by a team of mechanical and electrical engineers.

2.Co-ordinate and Communicate his support activities with the General Managers in Singapore, Thailand and China.

3. Review Engineering Calculations & Analysis done by engineers.

4. Perform energy audit analysis and re-engineered design for commercial and industrial air conditioning system, such as equipment and materials selection, system schematics, layouts, preparation of technical specifications, etc.

5. Recommend ductwork layout and design, chilled water piping layout and design.

6. Pump selection using pump curves and fan selection using fan curves.

7. Review M & E drawings drawn by engineers.

8. Preparation and Submission of Energy Audit Reports and opportunities.

9. Review chiller log readings, advice on abnormalities and issue instructions for further checks and evaluation or rectification works.

10. Administer all work activities such as training to new engineers, office administration, etc.

Requirements & Qualifications
1. Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably 1st Class Honor and     major in Thermodynamics. A MBA is an added advantage.

2. Ten years of experience in HVAC System, Mechanical & Electrical Industry. Candidates with less than 10 years experience will be considered for Assistant Head position.

3. Must have practical knowledge of process controls in industries.

4. Must be proficient in oral and written English.

5. Must possess analytical and problem solving skills/techniques.

6. Ability to use sound independent judgment on difficult engineering problems; understand written and oral instructions; interpret plans, drawings, and specifications;

7. Able to use Pschyrometric chart, Pump Curves, Fan Curves and other related charts.

8. Basic management skills for handling office premises, people and documents.

ENGINEER – MECHANICAL / ELECTRICAL / CONTROLS

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Download and store data from data loggers through a web-based system.

2. Convert the raw data into a readable format using application software.

3. Review the technical data, analysis of utility records, and the use of energy analysis programs and calculations to evaluate energy performance.

4. Perform engineering analysis on the equipments to establish the operating performance and deviations.

5. Identify the potential areas to conserve energy based on the data analysis.

6. Perform piping friction loss calculation to establish the existing system friction head and provide re-engineering solution to conserve energy.

7.  Perform ducting calculation to establish existing and proposed system static pressure.

8.  Sizing of air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation system for commercial and industrial applications.

9.  Perform cooling load and heat load calculations.

10. Perform equipment selection such as chillers, pumps, cooling coil, fans, and submit design documents including technical specifications and drawings for the proposed retrofit measures.

11. Design control logic for close loop system with feedback mechanism.

12. Draw ladder diagrams and control logics for proposed system.

13. Write simple programs using high-level language and machine language.

14. Pump selection using pump curve and fan selection using fan curve.

Requirements & Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / electrical engineering with first class honors from a recognized university.

2. Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional level experience performing energy engineering, process industry knowledge, HVAC service and maintenance.

3. Should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting, analysis of pumps, piping, ducting, and all associated HVAC equipment.

4. Should have experience in both conventional and DDC control systems together with a good knowledge of electrical motor control panels.

5. Should have a full understanding of the theory of automatic controls associated with air-conditioning and ventilation industries with the ability to design control systems.

6. Ability to use sound independent judgment on difficult engineering problems; understand written and oral directions; interpret plans, drawings, specifications;

7. Proficient in written and oral English.

ANALYST, ENGINEERING RESOURCE CENTRE

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Review the Service Chits & Checklists generated by the Singapore Service & Maintenance team.

2. Analyse, interpret, highlight and recommend solutions to audit mindsets of the site staff.

3. Recommend training programme to improve the mindsets and competency levels of the site staff in Singapore.

Requirements & Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in psychology, financial management or quality control.

2. Fresh graduate will be considered.

3. Possess essential skills in communication, written and oral and command of English must be good.

4. Must be able to differentiate symptoms, causes and remedial actions

Technical Specialist (Location in Singapore)
Duties & Responsibilities:
 

1. Carry out preventive maintenance, servicing & operation of air-conditioning, mechanical & electrical equipment and related building services

2. Service fan coil units, air-handling units, cooling towers, chillers, motors and pumps.

3. Attend to customer complaints.

4. Troubleshooting and repair air-conditioning and M & E Systems.

Requirements & Qualifications

1. At least Diploma with electrical, mechanical and air-conditioning background.

2. Hands-on experience in air-conditioning services and maintenances will be an advantage.

3. At least 3 to 5 years hands-on experience in their relevant field.

4. Must be able to write and converse in simple English.

5. Able to read and understand drawings, controls schematics, etc.

6. Able to use tools and instruments related to mechanical and electrical.
